Court Sentences Man On Marijuana Charges

BURNETT COUNTY — A Siren, WI man has been sentenced in Burnett County Circuit Court on his felony marijuana charges.

DrydenWire.comreported in May 2018 that Roger Mulroy, of Siren, WI was facing charges of Class H Felony Possession with Intent to Deliver THC (Marijuana), Party to a Crime; Class I Felony Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place; Class G Felony Possession of a Firearm by a Felon; and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia following the execution of a search warrant at his residence that led to the seizure of over 230 grams of marijuana along with a firearm and multiple rounds of ammunition.

Online circuit court records show that Roger appeared for a sentencing hearing on January 25, 2019, regarding his criminal charges. Roger previously entered a plea of Guilty on October 23, 2018, for Class H Felony Possession with Intent to Deliver THC (Marijuana). The remaining charges filed against Roger were dismissed but read in for consideration at sentencing.

The Court ordered a 5 ½ year sentence for Roger, with 2 ½ years initial confinement in prison followed by 3 years of extended supervision with credit for 267 days served. Roger was ordered to undergo an assessment and comply with all recommended treatment.

Following the search warrant execution at the Mulroy residence a criminal complaint was also filed against Heidi Mulroy charging her with Class H Felony Possession with Intent to Deliver THC (Marijuana), Party to a Crime; Class I Felony Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place, Party to a Crime; and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

She is scheduled to appear again in February 2019 regarding her charges.

BURNETT COUNTY — Roger Mulroy and Heidi Mulroy, of Siren, WI, are facing felony charges in Burnett County Circuit Court after a search warrant conducted on their residence led to the seizure of over 230 grams of marijuana along with a firearm and multiple rounds of ammunition.

According to criminal complaints filed against Roger and Heidi, Siren Police Department conducted a search warrant on their residence on May 4, 2018 at around 10a. Details regarding what led up to the search warrant are not known to DrydenWire.com at this time.

The criminal complaint states that when officers arrived, a juvenile was in the residence and was sent to school prior to the search warrant being executed.

During the search Investigating officers located multiple glass jars containing green plant material which later tested positive for marijuana and which had a combined weight of over 230 grams. Officers also located a bolt action 22 rifle inside of a rolled up sheet behind a bed in one of the bedrooms, as well as multiple rounds of various types of ammunition throughout the residence.

In addition, officers also located a counterfeit $100 bill, which matched the description of a similar counterfeit $100 bill that had recently been used at a local store in Siren. It is not known to DrydenWire.com at this time if additional charges are to be filed regarding the counterfeit bill.

Roger is charged with Class H Felony Possession with Intent to Deliver THC (Marijuana), Party to a Crime; Class I Felony Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place; Class G Felony Possession of a Firearm by a Felony; and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Heidi is facing charges of Class H Felony Possession with Intent to Deliver THC (Marijuana), Party to a Crime; Class I Felony Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place, Party to a Crime; and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The maximum penalty for a conviction of Class H Possession with Intent to Deliver THC (Marijuana) is imprisonment for not more than 6 years, a fine of $10,000, or both. A conviction on Class I Felony Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place carries a potential maximum sentence of imprisonment for not more than 3 years and 6 months, a fine of $10,000, or both. Additionally, if Roger is convicted on his charge of Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, he faces a potential maximum penalty of imprisonment for 10 years, a fine of $25,000, or both.
