Court Sentences Phillips Man In Sawyer County OWI Case

SAWYER COUNTY -- The Court has sentenced a Phillips, WI man on his conviction of 3rd offense operating a vehicle with a prohibited alcohol concentration.

DrydenWire.com previously published a press release on November 10, 2019 from the Wisconsin State Patrol regarding a single vehicle crash which had resulted in the arrest of the driver for operating while intoxicated, 3rd offense.

The crash occurred shortly after 8p according to the press release, and both Schilling a passenger were transported for medical care.

Online circuit court records show that Schilling was charged with Misdemeanor 3rd Offense Operating While Intoxicated and Misdemeanor 3rd Offense Operating With Prohibited Alcohol Concentration.

At a recent court hearing, Schilling plead No Contest to his charge of Misdemeanor 3rd Offense Operating With Prohibited Alcohol Concentration. The remaining charge was dismissed.


Reports:


Schilling was ordered to serve 45 days in county jail; undergo an alcohol and other drug assessment and follow through with recommendations; and pay nearly $1,300 in fines and costs, according to online circuit court records.

The Court also ordered that Schilling may serve his jail term in any Wisconsin county provided no additional costs are incurred by Sawyer County.
