BARRON COUNTY -- The Court has sentenced Wayne Raschke, of Rice Lake, WI, for a conviction of Possession of Child P*rnography.
Raschke was charged criminally in Barron County Circuit Court in September 2021 following an investigation by the Rice Lake Police Department and the Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation.
The criminal complaint filed against Raschke stated that files containing sexually explicit images of children had been shared or uploaded by a user of a social media platform and the IP address associated with the user’s profile was identified as belonging to Wayne Raschke of Rice Lake, WI.
When asked if he had shared files showing images of child p*rnography with other users, Raschke indicated that it was possible. Raschke was charged with one count of Class D Felony Possession of Child P*rnography.
Online circuit court records show that Raschke appeared most recently on June 21, 2022, for a sentencing hearing. Raschke pleaded guilty to his charge at a hearing in April 2022.
The Hon. Maureen Boyle ordered Rashke to serve a 6-year prison sentence with 3 years of initial confinement followed by 3 years of extended supervision. Raschke must successfully complete any and all evaluations, counseling, treatment, and follow-up ordered by his Parole Officer, including sex offender treatment.
Conditions of supervision will require Raschke to maintain absolute sobriety and according to online court records, he may not be on the internet except as approved by the agent. Raschke will be required to register as a sex offender.
