WASHBURN COUNTY -- An early morning crash on March 2, 2026, near a Kwik Trip gas station in Spooner, Wisconsin, has led to felony drug charges for two Barron, WI, men after law enforcement discovered more than 40 grams of methamphetamine and statements linking the pair to plans to deliver the drugs.

Law enforcement who responded to a report of a crashed vehicle at the Kwik Trip store on Green Valley Road encountered suspicious behavior from the occupants, including one man who quickly retreated into the store’s restroom as officers approached.

Joshua Wayne Thompson and Charles Edward Ramsey, Jr, now face charges in Washburn County Circuit Court for felony possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine as party to a crime.
