SAWYER COUNTY (DrydenWire) - Felony charges have been filed in Sawyer County Circuit Court against Jason Arnold, age 42, of Exeland, WI, from a recent armed standoff incident in which law enforcement responded to a call for assistance due to a man with a firearm who allegedly had battered a female victim. Multiple agencies assisted with armored vehicles.

During the incident, law enforcement vehicles sustained multiple gunshot hits, however, no officers were injured. According to the press release from Sawyer County Sheriff Doug Mrotek, no gunfire was exchanged by law enforcement.

Note: Online court records show that Washburn County Circuit Court also has an active warrant for Arnold’s arrest relating to criminal charges filed against him in 2020.

The Sawyer County incident culminated with Arnold exiting the residence with a self-inflicted gunshot wound and being transported for medical care.

A criminal complaint has now been filed against Mr. Arnold in Sawyer County vis-a-vis the recent armed standoff incident.
