BURNETT COUNTY (DrydenWire) - Felony charges are moving towards a plea in a Burnett County Criminal Court case filed against a man who is accused of brutally assaulting another person during a dispute over a shed key.
Deputies responded to a North Bass Lake Road residence on July 6, 2024, where the victim was found bleeding heavily from multiple head wounds. Court documents allege that 47-year-old Nicholas Morseth struck the victim repeatedly, including with brass knuckles, before fleeing the scene.
Morseth was later arrested and received multiple charges, including Aggravated Battery and Intentionally Subject an Individual at Risk to Abuse. His case is scheduled for a plea and sentencing hearing in December 2025.
