WASHBURN COUNTY (DrydenWire) – A Spooner, WI, contractor is facing criminal charges after allegedly taking nearly $14,000 from a client for a deck project that was never started.
John Green, owner of Crystal Creek Carpentry, allegedly accepted a large down payment in January 2024 but failed to complete any work, offering numerous excuses over several months before ultimately ceasing all communication.
Green was sentenced in Sawyer County Circuit Court in January 2025 on convictions from a case with similar circumstances.
Criminal charges have now been filed against Green in Washburn County.
