(Release) On Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at approximatley 9:30 a.m., a K-9 units of the Barron Police Department and the Four Corners Police Department conducted a search of the Barron High School and the parking lot. During the search the dogs gave a postitive alert on a vehicle that belongs to a student. Upon search of the vehicle, drug paraphernalia was located inside the vehicle. The student was cited for drug paraphernalia.

K-9 Search Finds Drugs at Barron School

On Wednesday, October 26th, 2016, the Barron County Sheriff's Department K-9 division conducted random drug searches of the New Auburn and Prairie Farm school buildings and parking lot areas with the assistance of School Resource Deputy Kuffel.
K-9 Chase alerted on a car in the New Auburn School and a subsequent search of this vehicle uncovered 1.5 grams of Marijuana and a Marijuana Pipe.
A 17 year old New Auburn student was questioned, cited and turned over to his parents.
No other drugs were located in either school.
The Barron County Sheriff's Department K-9 division performs random searches of all the area schools at the request of these schools trying to do its part to keep our schools drug free.
