DUNN COUNTY -- Residents in Dunn County have been receiving calls telling them that they are required to appear for jury duty and if they fail to appear that there will be be consequences, according to a news release from the Dunn County Sheriff's Office.
(News Release) -- We have received information that individuals are receiving calls from the Dunn County Sheriff's Office stating they are to appear for jury duty and there will be consequences for failure to appear. This is a scam.
The Dunn County Clerk of Courts office contacts current jurors and potential jurors through mail correspondence or if approved by the individual, by email or text. The Clerk of Courts Office will communicate with jurors by phone means if the juror calls into the Clerk of Courts Office. The message will also state it is the Dunn County Clerk of Courts Office.
