Early Morning Structure Fire in Chetek
At 2350 hrs on March 31st 2018, the Cheek Fire Department was dispatched to the 500 block of 23rd Street in Chetek for a reported structure fire. Initial size-up indicated a fully-involved detached storage structure with heavy flames. The structure was unoccupied and no injuries were reported. Emergency crews fought for 2-hours before calling the fire under control, and cleared the scene at 0400 hrs.
Assisting departments included Cameron Fire, Dallas Fire, New Auburn Fire, Chetek EMS, the Barron County Sheriff’s Department, and Barron Electric.
