SAWYER COUNTY -- Authorities in Sawyer County are asking for the public's help after a Elk was illegally shot in Sawyer County, according to a post on the Sawyer County Sheriff's Department facebook page.
On the morning of September 14th, 2019 an Elk was illegally shot near the road side of State Highway 77 and Forest Road 174 in Sawyer County, WI. If you were passing through this area between the hours of 5:00 A.M. and 7:00 A.M. and noticed anything unusual or if you have any information regarding this incident please call the WI DNR at 1-800-847-9367.
