POLK COUNTY (DrydenWire) - A routine patrol on a summer afternoon on Highway 8 just outside of St. Croix Falls, WI, turned into a dangerous pursuit when a speeding pickup truck was seen weaving through traffic and refusing to stop, according to authorities.
The driver, Christopher Paulson, age 40, of Luck, WI, was ultimately arrested and received multiple charges, including felony 4th offense drunk-driving charges, felony marijuana charges, and numerous traffic violations. Paulson is scheduled to appear again in February 2026 on the criminal charges.
