SAWYER COUNTY — A western Wisconsin man with multiple prior drunken driving convictions has been sentenced after authorities say he drove erratically while intoxicated during a November 2025 incident on a Sawyer County highway, at one point traveling in the wrong lane and forcing another vehicle into a ditch to avoid a crash.
Christopher Wilbanks, 46, of Hammond, pleaded guilty to Felony 4th Offense Operating While Intoxicated during a March 11, 2026, court hearing in Sawyer County Circuit Court and was sentenced.
