BURNETT COUNTY (DrydenWire) -- A routine eviction on Main Street in Grantsburg, Burnett County, Wisconsin, quickly escalated into a major, multi-agency, drug investigation after local authorities discovered a suspected clandestine drug (DMT) laboratory inside the former Red Stag Saloon.
The eviction, carried out on March 16, 2025, led to the seizure of suspected illegal substances, firearms, and drug manufacturing equipment, and ultimately, criminal charges against Laura Chamberlin, age 52, of Grantsburg, WI, and Zachary Chaffee, age 36, of Mora, MN.
