On March 2nd, 2018 at approximately 5:55 a.m. Washburn County Dispatch received a 911 all from 1100 Roundhouse Road Spooner, WI reporting an explosion that resulted in a 29-year-old male with life-threatening injuries
North Memorial Ambulance Service was dispatched. Spooner Officers, along with a Washburn County Sheriff's Office Deputy, and a Wisconsin State Patrol Inspector responded to the scene. First aid was rendered by responding officers. North Memorial Ambulance Service arrived and evaluated and treated the male victim. The male victim was transported by North Memorial Ambulance to Spooner Hospital, where there was a helicopter waiting. The male victim was airlifted to a hospital in the Twin Cities.
Spooner Fire Department was also dispatched to assist in the initial response and to ensure no risk of possible fire.
