2nd Arrest Warrant Issued for Spooner Man Facing Criminal Charges in 2 Counties

Monday, June 26, 2017 | by Ben Dryden

WASHBURN COUNTY, Wis. -- Failure to appear for a criminal court hearing today, June 26, 2017, has resulted in another arrest warrant being issued for Timothy Wallace, of Spooner, WI. DrydenWire.com previously reported in April of this year that a warrant for Wallace's arrest had been issued in Burnett County Circuit Court when he failed to appear for a criminal court hearing on charges he is facing there.

On May 24, 2017, charges of Class A Misdemeanor Theft of Movable Property were filed in Washburn County Circuit Court against Wallace with an offense date of May 12, 2017, listed. The details of that criminal case are not known to DrydenWire.com at the time of this post, however, public record shows that Wallace did previously appear in court regarding these charges on June 5, 2017.

Wallace is facing Felony charges in Burnett County Circuit Court in two separate criminal cases. Public record shows that Wallace most recently appeared in Burnett County Circuit Court on June 15, 2017, and is scheduled to appear again in September.

In one case, filed on October 24, 2016, Wallace is charged with two counts of Class F Felony Burglary and one count of Class H Felony Theft of Movable Property. Those charges stem from an investigation in Burnett County in the summer of 2016. Wallace was reportedly linked to a series of break-ins in which multiple power tools, multiple items of fishing gear, 2 trolling motors, an air compressor, chainsaws and more were stolen from more than one address in Burnett County. When investigators interviewed Wallace, he apparently confessed to taking the items that had been retrieved up to that point in time and also admitted to taking other items and told officers where they could find those.

Wallace is charged with Class H Felony Bail Jump, Class B Misdemeanor Disorderly Conduct, Class A Misdemeanor Resisting an Officer, and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in the second Burnett County court case, filed on April 11, 2017. These charges were filed after an incident on April 9, 2017, in which Wallace had contact with the Grantsburg Police Department following a 'Pinko Jam' event. Wallace was allegedly threatening harm to a female outside of a bar and jumped in a vehicle parked in front of the bar while stating that he was just going to “f**k her up”. Although officers ordered Wallace to stop and get out of the vehicle he did not initially comply. Ultimately Wallace was placed under arrest after he refused to give his name and was reportedly physically resisting the officers.

Warrant Issued & New Charges Filed for Spooner Man

Monday, May 1, 2017 | by Ben Dryden

BURNETT COUNTY, Wis. --  Spooner man already facing Felony Burglary charges in Burnett County Circuit Court, now has new charges filed against him in Burnett County and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

According to public record, Timothy Wallace, of Shell Lake, WI, was scheduled to appear in Burnett County Circuit Court on April 26, 2017, and when he failed to do so, Judge Kenneth Kutz authorized a warrant for Wallace's arrest.

Previously DrydenWire.com reported on November 21, 2016, that Wallace had been charged with 2 counts of Felony Burglary and 1 count of Misdemeanor Theft stemming from an investigation in Burnett County in the summer of 2016. Wallace was linked to a series of break-ins in which multiple power tools, multiple items of fishing gear, 2 trolling motors, an air compressor, chainsaws and more were stolen from more than one address in Burnett County. When investigators interviewed Wallace, he confessed to taking the items that had been retrieved up to that point in time and also admitted to taking other items and told officers where they could find those.

The new charges filed against Wallace include Class H Felony Bail Jump, Class B Misdemeanor Disorderly Conduct, Class A Misdemeanor Resisting an Officer, and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

According to the criminal complaint, on April 9, 2017, Wallace had contact with the Grantsburg Police Department outside of a bar shortly after closing time. A large group of people had gathered, following the Pinko Jame event, and officers were attempting to get the people to move along and go home.

Officers saw a male, later identified as Wallace, engaged in a verbal argument with a female. Wallace jumped in a vehicle parked in front of the bar while stating that he was just going to “f**k her up”. An officer approached the vehicle and ordered Wallace to stop and get out. The criminal complaint goes on to state thatWallace started the vehicle which was near the large group of people, revved the engine, put it in gear and backed up a couple of feet. The officer continued orderingWallace to stop and he did finally put the vehicle back into the park. Wallace then got out of the vehicle, while continuing to yell back and forth with the female. He would not state his name and chanted repeatedly, “Lawyer, Lawyer”. The officer advised Wallace that he was being placed under arrest for resisting an officer because he was refusing to cooperate and identify himself and Wallace then began to physically resist the officer. While searching Wallace for officer safety, officers found a marijuana pipe inside one of his pants pockets. The complaint states that once Wallace was inside the squad car he began screaming and kicking at the windows and reportedly continued to do so while en route to the Burnett County Jail.

Wallace appeared in Burnett County Circuit Court on April 11, 2017, for a bail bond hearing after his arrest on his latest charges, and according to public record, Judge James Erickson placed Wallace on a $2,500 signature bond.

Spooner Man Charged With Felony Burglary In Burnett County

Monday, November 21, 2016 | By Ben Dryden

Timothy Wallace, of Spooner, WI, has been charged in Burnett County Circuit Court with two counts of Felony Burglary and one count of Misdemeanor Theft.

According to documents received via public records request, in July of 2016, the Burnett County Sheriff's Office investigated reports of break-ins. The list of items reported stolen included chainsaws, an air compressor, and many power tools. During the course of their investigation, officers discovered some of these items at area pawn shops. A review of video footage from at least one of these shops revealed that Timothy Wallace was one of the individuals who had brought the reportedly stolen items in to be pawned.

Burnett County investigators received a report from Pine County Sheriff's Department about a vehicle owned by Timothy Wallace that was involved in a crash. A search warrant was obtained for the vehicle and officers located many more power tools matching the description of items reported stolen inside the vehicle along with some drug paraphernalia. A victim of one of the break-ins was able to identify some of the items recovered from Wallace's vehicle as belonging to him.

An anonymous tip received by Burnett County Sheriff's Department led officers to a vehicle which Wallace reportedly had left in Hennepin County, MN and which had been towed. A visual search through the windows of the towed vehicle revealed more fishing gear and tools inside which matched the description of items listed as stolen. A search was obtained and with the assistance of the Minneapolis, MN Police Department, the vehicle was searched and the items recovered.

Wallace was interviewed by investigators in August of 2016 and confessed to taking the items in question and also gave officers information on where to locate more stolen items. Based on Wallace's confession, another search warrant was obtained for a residence and outbuildings in Burnett County and officers located more powers tools and fishing gear reported stolen along with 2 trolling motors and other fishing gear. Investigators had victims of the break-ins review the recovered items and were able to successfully identify more of the items.

Public record indicates that Wallace was convicted in March of 2016 for Possession of Methamphetamine in Burnett County and received a sentence of 3 years of probation. In October of 2016, Wallace's probation was revoked by the Court and he was sentenced to 1 year in county jail. Wallace had also previously been convicted of Possession of Methamphetamine in a Washburn County Case in September 2015 and received a sentence of 3 years of probation. His probation was revoked in that case as well and on November 18th, Wallace was ordered to spend an additional year in county jail for that conviction.

A prior public records request by DrydenWire.com indicates that Wallace worked with the Division of Criminal Investigation and the Washburn County Sheriff's office in the investigation which led to charges being filed against Sarona man, Russell Wilson for Conspiracy to Commit 1st Degree Intentional Homicide and Solicitation of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide.
