Felony Meth Possession and Child Neglect Charges Filed Against Burnett Co. Couple

Charges including Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Felony Possession of Marijuana, and Neglect of a Child have been filed in Burnett County Circuit Court against Jackie Moser and Justin Will of Webster, Wisconsin.

According to the criminal complaints, on February 24, 2017, Burnett County Sheriff's Office Investigators were advised by the Burnett County Health and Human Services Department that it was believed that Moser and Will were using marijuana inside their residence on Lily Lake Road, with two of their young children present.

A social worker made a home visit to check on the welfare of the children in the residence and reported to the Burnett County Sheriff's Office that the odor of marijuana was very noticeable. It was confirmed that two young children, ages 2 and 10 months were in the home at the time. Another child, age 7, was confirmed to be in school at the time.

The Burnett County Sheriff's Office subsequently obtained and executed a search warrant on the residence. Both Will and Moser were in the residence when the search warrant was executed as well as the two younger children.

During the execution of the search warrant, investigators located numerous smoking devices for both marijuana and methamphetamine. Investigators found a bag of marijuana seeds near the microwave along with a coffee can containing marijuana 'shake' above the microwave. The criminal complaint continues stating that a 12 gauge shotgun was found leaning next to the master bedroom dresser with a sling attached to it containing shotgun shells. Also found in the master bedroom were multiple glass devices for smoking methamphetamine along with a digital scale and a marijuana grinder as well as baggies containing white residue. Investigators also collected a glass device for smoking methamphetamine from one of Will's pockets.

The criminal complaint states further that Will has been convicted of a felony previously and because of that conviction cannot possess a firearm of any kind.

Public record shows that Will and Moser each appeared at bail bond hearings in Burnett County Circuit Court on February 27, 2017. The Court ordered $250.00 Cash Bail Bonds for both Moser and Will with the condition that neither of them may have contact with the children unless approved by the Department of Health and Human Services.

Jackie Moser is charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Felony Possession of Marijuana (2nd or subsequent Offense), Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and 3 counts of Misdemeanor Child Neglect.

Justin Will has the same charges with an additional charge of Felon in Possession of a Firearm.

Moser and Will both were scheduled to make an Initial Appearance on their criminal charges in Burnett County Circuit Court today March 8, 2017. They both did appear for today's hearings and the Court scheduled their next Court hearings for May 15, 2017.
