Today on “Focus on the Faculty” we are featuring our amazing #ShellLakeStrong school nurse, Kelly Schmidt. Kelly grew up in Cumberland, WI and attended WITC Superior, UW Barron County, WITC Rice Lake, Rochester Community College and UW LaCrosse after High school. She has worked for the Shell Lake School District for 15 years.
Kelly has been married to her husband Tim for 30 years and they have three children, one grandchild, and one fur baby (a dog). One of her favorite movies is the Goodbye Girl from 1977.
Kelly is a hard core reader with reading at least 2 novels a week! She also enjoys taking walks and knitting.
As a child she wanted to be a Librarian or an English teacher when she grew up. When asked what teacher she remembers from school the most, she said,”I remember every single teacher I had from K through 12th grade.Every single one made an impact on my life.” Kelly loves her job and loves taking care of student’s medical needs.Thank you Kelly, for all that you do and for caring for the Shell Lake students.
