Today on “Focus on the Faculty” we are featuring our CLC (after school) Coordinator, Kristen Brunberg.
Mrs. Kris’ hometown is Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. After High School she attended UW LaCrosse for 3 years and then transferred to Northland College. She has worked in the Shell Lake School district for 14 years. Her husband Brock and her have three children, Jack, Sara and Katie and 2 dogs, Buddy and Crook. Mrs. Kris’ favorite movie is The Princess Bride and her hobbies are cooking, working in her yard and whatever her kids are in at the time.
As a child, she wanted to be a garbage man, until they took her blanket that she forgot on the curb. A teacher she remembers from school is Mrs. Fleer, her 3rd grade teacher. She was so tall and nice! If you ask her what she loves most about working at the school, she will answer, the people.
One of the funniest things a student said to her was, “Mrs. Kris, you must really like that shirt.” Guess she wore it enough for her to notice, and Kris says, from the look on her face she didn't like it as much as I did!
