WASHBURN COUNTY — A former Spooner Police Officer, Dakota Dorn, has been sentenced in Washburn County Circuit Court for multiple sex crimes against juvenile victims. Dorn had contact with juveniles through his involvement with the Spooner Area School District and in the context of his job with the Spooner Police Department.
Following the May 2024 filing of charges against Dorn, the Spooner Police Department issued a press release.
Dorn was released after posting a $15,000 cash bond in June 2024. He was ordered back into custody following a July 2026 hearing, and last appeared on August 28, 2026, to be sentenced.
