SPOONER, Wis. -- Shannon Grindell is returning to the Spooner Area School District in her former role as Business Manager.
During the monthly School Board Meeting this past Monday night, it was decided that Ms. Grindell would be returning to her previous role that she held at SASD as Business Manager.
Ms. Grindell had announced her resignation from her position as Business Manager back in February stating to DrydenWire.com at the time that she was "incredibly proud of all that has been accomplished by SASD staff and students. In a short amount of time, we were able to provide exciting opportunities and experiences to students and staff with a limited budget. There is certainly more to do considering the District's capital needs, but our work over the past couple years has put us on the right trajectory."
Since then, Ms. Grindell has remained connected to SASD in a consultant and advisor role to District Personnel.
"We are excited to have Shannon rejoining the Spooner Area School District," Spooner Area School District Superintendent Dave Aslyn said when asked for his thoughts on Ms. Grindell returning to the District. "We are fortunate to have somebody with her combination of skills and successful experience as a School Business Manager here at SASD."
Ms. Grindell told DrydenWire.com that she is also excited to be returning to the District that first hired her in 2014.
"I'm excited for the opportunity to be back at SASD. The students and staff in this district are top-notch and SASD remains committed to providing students with the best tools for success. There is a lot of good work to be done and I look forward to being a part of it. With current funding challenges for rural school districts and uncertainty with the state budget, I am grateful for the opportunity to partner with SASD staff, leaders and the Board of Education to keep the district on solid financial ground."
Ms. Grindell will be returning full time to the District starting September 1, 2017.
