Frederic High School Evacuated After Bomb Threat

POLK COUNTY — Authorities responded to Frederic High School Tuesday after a reported bomb threat led to the evacuation of students and staff, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 1252pm, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office received a phone call indicating there was a bomb at Frederic High School. The Emergency Dispatch Center notified the school district immediately.

Emergency Protocols were followed by the Frederic School District. Law Enforcement and the Frederic Fire Department responded to the scene. Students and staff were evacuated from the school.

Bomb detection K9s were called in to do a thorough sweep of the school to ensure the building was safe for students and staff to return. No explosive devices were discovered in or around the school.

This is an open and ongoing investigation into the source of the threat.

More information will be put out at a later date.

School is expected to resume as normal tomorrow. There will be an increased Law Enforcement presence to ensure safety.
