Frederic Man Arrested For Sixth OWI Offense

Frederic, WI - Jeremy Lee Carlson, 48, from Frederic, Wisconsin, has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol (WSP) Spooner Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence—his sixth offense, according to a press release from the WSP.

The arrest took place on May 18, 2024, at approximately 12:40a A Wisconsin State Patrol trooper initiated a traffic stop on County Highway B at Lind Road near Siren due to a traffic violation. Upon approaching the vehicle, the trooper observed signs indicating that the driver was impaired.

Following a thorough investigation, the driver, identified as Jeremy Carlson, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a restricted controlled substance—his sixth such offense. Carlson was then transported to a local hospital where an evidentiary blood test was conducted. Subsequently, he was taken to the Burnett County Jail.

In addition to the OWI charge, Mr. Carlson faces charges for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and operating a motor vehicle after revocation.

Pursuant to the direction of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial Publicly, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
