A new local business, Ignite V&T in Hayward, Wisconsin, was burglarized on Sunday, June 24, 2018, at approximately 9p.
According to the business, the suspects spent over 20 minutes trying to access the back door of the premises. Once they finally broke through, the alarm immediately sounded as they entered and were only inside the premises for less than 2 minutes.
The sirens were so loud and with the police being dispatched so quickly, the suspects made off with very little product.
Due to the sophisticated camera and alarm system, the suspects were easily identified.
The business says that with the diligent help of Sawyer County Sherriff’s Office and the Hayward Police Department, the juveniles were tracked by K9 through the woods but ultimatley lost their scent due to the populated area where the suspects led them to.
Authorities, however, were able to pull detailed pictures of the assailants to identify them and that evening 2 of the juveniles were apprehended and confessed to the burglary.
Authorities identified the third suspect and are working diligently to find him.
Ignite V&P would like to thank the officers for all of their hard work tracking down the suspects and appreciate the hard job that they do.
