SAWYER COUNTY — A Hayward, WI, woman accused of possessing more than 60 grams of methamphetamine with plans to sell it, and a Hayward, WI, man accused of possessing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia are each facing felony charges in Polk County Circuit Court following a May 2026 traffic stop.
According to a criminal complaint, Nancy Clute (51) and John Blank (53) were stopped shortly before midnight on May 2, 2026, after an officer observed the pair leave the St. Croix Falls Suites. A traffic stop was conducted a short time later, and the investigation allegedly led to the discovery of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, packaging materials, and a scale inside the vehicle.
Clute and Blank are both due back in court in September 2026.
