UPDATE: Hayward Police: Victim Of Pedestrian Vs. Vehicle Crash Passes Away

HAYWARD, WI — On July 19, 2020, a Vehicle Vs. Pedestrian Crash occurred in Hayward, WI.

At the time, authorities stated the victim was hospitalized with ‘unknown injuries'.

On August 15, 2020, the victim passed away, according to a press release from the Hayward Police Department.

On August 18, 2020, The City of Hayward Police Department was informed that the victim of the pedestrian/vehicle crash on July 19, 2020 on US Hwy 63 and Main Street in the City of Hayward had passed away from injuries sustained during the crash on August 15, 2020 at Saint Mary’s ICU in Duluth, Minnesota.

The victim was identified as 35 year old, Filiberto Temich Malaga of Madison, Wisconsin.

The Wisconsin State Patrol completed a reconstruction of the Accident. The operator of the vehicle consented to a blood test and the results are pending at the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene.
