SAWYER COUNTY (DrydenWire) - An undercover online investigation by the Lac Courte Oreilles Police Department, with assistance from the Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office, into the potential illegal trafficking of heroin or fentanyl led to the seizure of nearly 5 grams of fentanyl and the arrest of two women, Yvone Lynne Martinson & Sarah Jean Tainter, and has now resulted in a felony conviction for Martinson.
Martinson was sentenced on her conviction at a recent hearing in Sawyer County Circuit Court. Tainter’s charges are still pending and she is scheduled to appear again on June 5, 2024.
