RUSK COUNTY -- A Ladysmith, WI, woman with multiple prior drunk driving convictions is facing new felony charges after a late-night traffic stop in January 2026.
According to a criminal complaint, an officer observed Wendy Gascoigne, 53, allegedly drinking beer behind the wheel of her vehicle and failing to stop promptly for emergency lights before she was arrested on suspicion of operating while intoxicated. Authorities say subsequent testing showed a blood alcohol concentration more than twice the legal limit. Gascoigne is scheduled for a court appearance on March 31, 2026.
