WASHBURN COUNTY (DrydenWire) - A high-speed chase that spanned Washburn and Sawyer Counties ended in a tense standoff and arrest after deputies say a Hayward woman refused to pull over, swerved into oncoming traffic, and fled down a wooded trail in her Jeep.
According to a criminal complaint, deputies attempted multiple tactics—including spike strips, a PIT maneuver, and eventually beanbag rounds, OC spray, and a Taser—before finally taking 52-year-old Danielle Swan into custody.
