Hockey Happenings: January Is A Busy Month For Spooner Area Hockey

WASHBURN COUNTY -- Are you a hockey fan? January is your month!

Mark your calendars for the Squirt (4th and 5th graders) tournament on January 12th and 13th. Teams from Duluth, Menomonie, Avery, Black River Falls, and Burnett will be here to challenge each other.

Then, the Peewees (6th and 7th graders) will be holding their tournament January 26th and 27th. Teams from Viroqua, Stoughton, Proctor, Ashland, Sibley, Hayward and Waupaca will make this tournament a must see.

Finally, if you like outdoor action we have that for you too. On January 26th the Squirts (4th and 5th graders) will be playing at the Outdoor RInk located at College Street in Spooner. They will be playing River Valley. And, looking ahead on February 2nd, 2019 during Spooner's Jack Frost Fest, the Mite II (2nd and 3rd graders) will be hosting a Jamboree. Come and check out the action.

Note - due to the hard work of SAYHA volunteers both sheets of ice at the Outdoor Rink located at the Spooner City Park at College Street are open and ready for skaters. Enjoy skating!
