Hockey Mom - Leslie Gudmunsen
SAYHA: Who are you and who is your player?
LG: My players are Korbin who is a squirt and Boden who is in Learn to Skate.
SAYHA: What is your best memory of your kid/kids playing hockey?
LG: My favorite memory is probably when Korbin got his first goal in Barron at a Mite Jamboree a few years ago. I happened to be videoing and actually got it on video!
SAYHA: What is the best advice you can give another hockey parent?
LG: Be Flexible! Schedules change quickly.
SAYHA: What is a must have item in your rink bag?
LG: Hat and gloves! You never know just how cold a rink is going to be.
SAYHA: How do you manage that hockey smell?
LG: Air it out! Get it out of the car and bag as soon as you can! Also, frequently wash what you can.
SAYHA: What time management advice can you share with us?
LG: Always plan ahead and be earlier than suggested!
Hockey Dads
The community outdoor rink located at City Park in Spooner is the focus of many a hockey dad's winters. They clean snow off of the ice before they run the zamboni and they themselves flood the rink and paint the lines. Thank you Hockey Dads!
