SAWYER COUNTY — A 26-year-old Lac Du Flambeau woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash Friday morning in the Town of Winter, according to a press release from the Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office.

On Friday April 18, 2025, at 8:38 AM, the Sawyer County Communications Center received a 911 call from an I Phone Crash Detector indicating that the owner of the I phone had been involved in a crash and was not responding. Sawyer County Deputies assisted by the Sawyer County Ambulance Service responded to the location plotting near 6505W on County Highway B in the Town of Winter.
Upon arrival, deputies learned that a 2016 Honda CRV was traveling eastbound on County Highway B when the vehicle left the roadway while negotiating a slight left curve in the highway. The vehicle entered the south ditch of the eastbound lane striking a driveway causing it to become airborne and overturning several times before striking several trees and coming to rest.
The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, Anjeni S. Del Real, 26, of Lac Du Flambeau, Wisconsin sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office and the Sawyer County Medical Examiners Office.
