Jason Bartholomew Discusses Sheriff Campaign on ‘DrydenWire Live’

WASHBURN COUNTY, WI — Republican candidate for Washburn County Sheriff, Jason “Bart” Bartholomew, joined Ben Dryden live on Friday, May 29, 2026, for a special “Meet The Candidate” edition of DrydenWire Live.

The live-streamed conversation aired on DrydenWire’s Facebook page and ran in DrydenWire’s familiar long-form, conversational format, giving viewers an opportunity to get to know Bartholomew beyond campaign talking points.

As with all of Ben Dryden’s live shows, the discussion was relaxed and wide-ranging, touching on both professional and personal topics while also covering issues important to Washburn County voters ahead of the upcoming election cycle.

A full replay of the conversation is available on DrydenWire’s YouTube channel or can be streamed below.

Bartholomew announced his candidacy for Washburn County Sheriff in December 2025. A 20-year veteran of the Washburn County Sheriff’s Office, Bartholomew discussed his experience serving in multiple roles throughout his career, including Jailer/Dispatcher, Patrol Deputy, Special Response Team member and Team Leader, Investigator, and developer of the department’s Field Training Officer program.

During the conversation, Bartholomew spoke about strengthening community trust, supporting and training deputies, responsible resource management, and ensuring taxpayers receive value from their public safety investment — all priorities he has emphasized throughout his campaign.

Bartholomew is seeking to become Washburn County’s next sheriff following current Sheriff Dennis Stuart announcing he would not seek a third term and would be resigning as sheriff on June 12, 2026.

The primary election is scheduled for August 11, 2026. Following the primary, the general election will be held on November 3, 2026.
