BURNETT COUNTY — A Minnesota man with eight prior drunken driving convictions has been sentenced to a term in Wisconsin state prison for a ninth OWI offense.
Steven Ronning, 58, of St. Cloud, MN, was charged in Burnett County Circuit Court following an October 2025 traffic stop in Danbury, where authorities alleged Ronning was driving with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.198, more than twice Wisconsin's legal limit, while his driving privileges were revoked due to prior alcohol-related convictions.
Ronning was sentenced during a court hearing on July 14, 2026.
