On June 7, 2017, at 11:53 p.m., the Barron County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call from 1022 19 3⁄4 Street reporting an unknown male in their camper outside of the house. The caller also reported that they keep a handgun in the camper.
Deputies from the Barron County Sheriff’s Department responded including a Barron County K-9. When deputies arrived they gave several commands for the male subject to leave the camper. They received no response. Several more commands were given stating that they were going to release K-9 Koda into the camper if they did not come out. The deputies received no response.
Due to the fact of the firearm inside the camper, K-9 Koda was sent into the camper. A short time later K-9 Koda apprehended a subject inside of the camper. The subject inside the camper was a 14 yr old male and he was treated for minor injuries from the K-9 and released to his parents per Human Services. Charges are being referred to Human Services on this subject as the subject did not have permission to be on the property or be in the camper.
