SPOONER, WI — Lakeland Family Resource Center will hold their annual Rubber Duck Race Fundraiser on August 5, 2023 at 10:00am at the Governor Tommy G. Thompson State Fish Hatchery in Spooner. The Rubber Duck Race offers two races: yellow ducks racing for kids prizes and blue ducks racing for adult prizes. Hundreds of rubber ducks both yellow and blue will be dumped into the water from the dam at the fish hatchery racing down the yellow river to the finish line. The first five rubber ducks to cross the finish line in each race will win a prize. Prizes for the duck race are:
Adult Race
- Angler Kayak (Paddles & PFDs included)
- Stand Up Paddle Board (Paddles & PFDs included)

- Overnight Canoe Trip and Fishing Package

Kids Race

Adopt a duck by purchasing a ticket at Lakeland Family Resource Center located at 819 Ash Street in Spooner or call 715-939-1151. Kids Race Ducks are $5 per duck and Adult Race Ducks are $10 per duck. Multiple Ducks can be purchased in packages

Ducks will also be available for purchase during Jack Pine Savage Days at Lakeland Family Resource Center Kids Zone from 3-6pm on Friday August 4.
