SAWYER COUNTY — A late-night disturbance on March 2, 2026, in Sawyer County, WI, had resulted in multiple felony charges after authorities say Brandie Boswell, 34, of Ojibwa, armed with a box cutter, threatened violence and attempted to take a child out of a residence because she believed the child was going to be sacrificed.
Lac Courte Oreilles Police Department officers and Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the disturbance. Authorities say the incident also involved suspected drug paraphernalia and left two young children locked inside a vehicle, prompting a 911 call.
