SAWYER COUNTY (DrydenWire) - Two Sawyer County women are facing felony charges regarding their alleged intent to deliver fentanyl following a drug bust that occurred in Sawyer County in December 2023.
A criminal complaint filed in Sawyer County Circuit Court states that the Lac Courte Oreilles Police Department, with assistance from the Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office, conducted an undercover online investigation into the potential illegal trafficking of heroin or fentanyl that led to the seizure of nearly 5 grams of fentanyl and the arrest of two women, Yvone Lynne Martinson & Sarah Jean Tainter.
