(Press Release) -- On Tuesday, December 6, 2016, the Barron County Sheriff’s Department served a search warrant at 1035 24th St., Chetek, WI.
Deputies recovered 172 grams of methamphetamine with a street value of over $20,000. Taken into custody was Jason J Johnson, 44 of this address. Johnson has been a target for several months and a leading supplier of meth to the area. During the execution of the search warrant Johnson was found to be flushing several more grams of meth down the toilet.
Johnson is released on a $5,000 signature bond.

According to documents released to DrydenWire.com by the Barron County Sheriff's Department, during the execution of a search warrant on December 6th, 2016 at the residence of Jason Johnson in Chetek , WI, detectives located many items including two containers and multiple gem bags all containing methamphetamine. Detectives also inspected a toilet in the residence due to the sound of the toilet being flushed as they entered the residence, and recovered water from the toilet containing methamphetamine residue. A digital scale was also discovered, with methamphetamine residue on it; as well as multiple pipes used to smoke methamphetamine. A total of 172 grams of methamphetamine and over $2,000 in cash were recovered from the residence.
While detectives were executing the search warrant, an Iphone 6+ started ringing. An Investigator answered the phone and an individual requested to purchase $100 worth of methamphetamine. The Investigator portrayed to the individual that he was Jason Johnson and finalized the arrangements for the sale. The individual arrived at the residence a short time later, and gave the Investigator $100 for the sale, at which point he was advised of the presence of law enforcement in the residence.
According to public record, Jason Johnson appeared in Barron County Circuit court on December 8th, 2016, charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver, a Class C Felony; and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Misdemeanor.
Johnson was released on a $5,000 signature bond, and is scheduled to appear again on January 3rd, 2017.
