RUSK COUNTY (DrydenWire) - The Court has sentenced Scott Read to serve a lengthy prison sentence for convictions of repeatedly sexually assaulting a child.
According to a criminal complaint filed against Read in March 2022, the sexual assaults of the child began in 2014 when the child was approximately 5 years old and continued until 2021. Additional charges of child sexual assault were filed against Read in April 2022 in Rusk County Circuit Court.
The charges against him stemmed from an investigation conducted by the Rusk County Health and Human Services Department and the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office.
