On 11/12/2016 at approximately 1600hrs, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office received a report of and ATV (4 wheeler) crash on 38th Ave. east of State Hwy 65. The ATV had rolled on 38th Ave. entering a field driveway. The 35 year old operator had been struck by a trailer which the ATV had been towing. The operator was conscious but suffering from a head injury. The subject was treated on scene by first responders and the Amery Ambulance Service. Life Link 3 was contacted for a scene landing and later transported the patient. Responding units included Polk County Deputies, Garfield First Responders, Garfield Fire Department, Amery Area Ambulance #977, and Life Link 3. The status of the patient is unknown as of this time.
