Live Testing Of DrydenWire.com's Push Notifications

**Update** Web Push Notifications on Apple iOS is not available. As soon as Apple starts to allow web push support to iOS, we will integrate that into our notifications.  We will continue to test and use our push notifications for those using a desktop / laptop with Chrome, Firefox, Opera Microsoft Edge, etc. AWe will also continue to find new and innovative ways for you to see news that matters to you.

We are currently in live beta testing for our Push Notifications on DrydenWire.com.  Please provide feedback and ask questions during our live-testing this weekend by commenting on this post on our Facebook page or by emailing us at DrydenWire@gmail.com.

We will be live-testing our new push notification feature on our website starting shortly and will test this throughout the weekend. We have run internal tests but now need to do a live test in order to receive feedback from you, our viewers, and to make sure it is working as it should before we officially go live w/ this on Monday morning. If interested in participating in our beta testing, please continue reading.

NOTE: We will pushing quite a few tests over the next 24-30 hours, which is not the frequency we will normally be using push notifications for, rather, it’s what is needed for our testing.

How it works

With this integration, you will be automatically prompted to subscribe to our site’s push notification alerts with just a click of a button when you visit DrydenWire.com. No need to enter your email address or any other personal information.

After subscribing, when we ‘push’ a notification, you will receive the notification on your desktop, laptop, tablet, or mobile device, which will take you to our website where you will see the article that has been ‘pushed’ to your device.

Push Notifications are short and delivered to you instantly.

NOTE: If you visit DrydenWire.com on multiple browsers and/or devices, you will be prompted each time to subscribe to our push notifications with each unique device/browser.

Here is what the 'subscribe' notification looks like on:

Desktop/Laptop

Mobile

We will publish more photos of examples throughout our testing.

After testing, we do not anticipate pushing the majority of our posts from our website. We may a day or two w/out any notifications pushed, and some days up to 2 or 3.  We will update you on what we are likely to, and likely not to, use push notifications for after our testing is finished.

Our notification system works with all major browsers spread across a variety of devices and platforms.
