WASHBURN COUNTY -- Shell Lake graduate and Spooner-area resident, Timothy Frey, can now add “Author” to his ever-growing list of titles after announcing he has written a book for children.
“Day the Flying Squirrel” takes readers on the journey of “Day” who - after staying up past bedtime and sneaking out of the nest to watch the sunrise over the valley - is faced with a tornado that takes him far from his tree and his family. Will Day be able to get back home? What will Day do when he meets new friends and some not-so-friendly faces?
Timothy says that he came up with the story of “Day” while in a deer stand watching an oncoming storm while some squirrels were going about their day. “After many nights watching the flying squirrels leap, soar, fly, and play in the trees in the backyard of my Northwest Wisconsin home, I just knew there was a story there,” Timothy says.
You may know Timothy from his many other titles in the community, including Investment Advisor at Frey Financial, CEO of Ignite Dispensary, Hemp Consultant, Commercial Property Manager, or even Farm Manager. But for now, he is enjoying the title of Author.
