I'm Cyndi, the owner of Proficient Dance Studio at 111 Elm St. in Spooner. I have been teaching competitive dance for more than 10 years, and just moved to Spooner last Spring and decided to offer local children the opportunity to attend competitions and other big events.
This past weekend, we attended our first competition as a team. We had 6 entries at The Ultimate Talent Connection in Superior, WI.
- Age 4-8 Hip Hop/Open won a Platinum award, 1st place, and the Judge's Choice award. (Maira Dennis, Jaden Iorns, Gretta Ruport, Kaylee Smith, Braylee Bruner).
- The two Jazz teams, ages 5-8 and 9-12 both won Silver awards and 5th place. (5-8: Arianna Daniels, Sophia Bernier, Lexi Kauffman, Lexi Morse, Mariah Lynch. 9-12: Britney Weimeri, Brooke Schulenberg, Cadence Bush, Chloe Bush, Maycee Wilkie)
- Soloist Clara Ruport won 3rd place in the Open division
- Soloist Kaelin Farley won 1st place in the same division as Clara
- Our Lyrical Trio won 2nd place (Arianna, Clara, Kaelin)
Our next season starts in May, and we compete again beginning in November. Open registration will be held at 111 Elm st, on Saturday, April 1st from 9:00-noon.
