POLK COUNTY — A Polk County drug investigation involving controlled methamphetamine purchases, surveillance recordings, and a search warrant has resulted in a felony conviction for one man, while another faces a lengthy list of pending criminal charges.
Austin McKenzie (42) and Steven Sturm (32), both of Luck, WI, received charges stemming from an investigation that prosecutors say documented multiple drug sales from McKenzie’s residence, including allegations that he discussed supplying large quantities of methamphetamine and monitored police activity using a scanner app.
The case against Sturm is proceeding in Polk County Circuit Court along with multiple other criminal cases filed against him involving allegations of drug and firearm crimes.
McKenzie recently pleaded guilty to two counts of felony methamphetamine delivery in Polk County Circuit Court and was sentenced.
