Delist the Gray Wolf. Then Delist the Administrative State

The fight to finally delist the gray wolf from the Endangered Species Act and allow herd management in northern Wisconsin continues for another year. Congressman Tom Tiffany and his Colorado colleague, Rep. Lauren Boebert, have introduced legislation that would restore a 2020 rule that delisted the wolf and restored authority to state lawmakers and wildlife officials to responsibly manage gray wolf populations.

As Richard Moore writes, this effort isn't just about protecting livestock from an apex predator -- it's about protecting liberty from its own predator: unelected and unaccountable bureaucracy.

GAO Report Exposes Widespread Vulnerabilities in ACA Premium Tax Credit Program

A recent report from the federal Government Accountability Office reveled just how little oversight there is into possible fraud involving Obamacare premium subsidies. Courtney Graves highlights these problems in the $120 billion premium subsidy program and points out that basic fraud prevention tactics could go a long way to ensuring only those who should benefit from the program are receiving the government assistance.

Wisconsin Republicans Key-up Child Grooming, Gender Legislation

Both the State Senate and the Assembly will be in action in Madison this week, and lawmakers have a hefty to-do list. One of the most notable pieces of legislation will be legislation from Rep. Barb Dittrich that would require school boards across the state to create and follow policies on when kids can change their gender and pronouns, and when those school boards will allow teachers and school staffers to use those new genders and pronouns.
