Rep. Born Clarifies Agreement with Gov on Prison
One of the Republican leaders at the Wisconsin Capitol says Gov. Evers is over-selling the bipartisan agreement on prisons in the state. The governor on Wednesday announced a bipartisan agreement to close the prison in Green Bay, and to renovate several of Wisconsin’s others. Evers also is moving forward with his plan to transition Wisconsin’s prison system to more of a rehabilitation model, and to shrink the number of people behind bars.
Born is clear that Republicans are not on-board with that.
