Man Arrested After Reports Of Gunshots In Township of Brunswick

EAU CLAIRE COUNTY — A 27-year-old man has been arrested following reports of multiple gunshots coming from a mobile home park, according to a press release from the Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Office.

(Press Release) — On Friday, 01/04/19, at approximately 11:39pm, the Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of gunshots in the area of the Pine Edge Mobile Home Park, located at W3940 Mitchell Rd, in the Township of Brunswick. 

Two initial anonymous complainants reported numerous gunshots coming from the area of the mobile home park. 

Upon arrival in the area, deputies were approached by three separate additional complainants, who also reported hearing anywhere between 9 and 11 gunshots.

During the course of the investigation, deputies made contact with 27-year-old Anthony Church in the mobile home park.  Church was detained and found to have a 9mm handgun concealed on his person.  It was determined Church was disqualified by law from possessing firearms.

Church was booked into the Eau Claire County Jail for Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Carrying a Concealed Weapon.  

This incident remains under investigation.
