BAYFIELD COUNTY — A 37-year-old Hurley, WI man has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Spooner Post for Operating a Motor Vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance, 2nd offense, with three children in the vehicle under the age of 16, according to an OWI news release from the Wisconsin State Patrol.

Jerard J Cobb, 37 years of age, from Hurley has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Spooner Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 2nd offense, with three children in the vehicle under the age of 16.
On May 8, 2021 at 9:51AM a Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper stopped a vehicle for equipment violations on USH 2 near Joe Pajac Rd in Bayfield County. The Trooper performed a drivers license record check discovering a warrant for Mr. Cobbs arrest.
Upon further investigation, Mr. Cobb was subsequently arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance, 2nd offense.
Passengers in the vehicle included 3 children, ages 14, 11 and 4 years old.
"Pursuant to the direction of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial Publicly, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty."
