Man Charged In Washburn County Circuit Court For Felony Threat To An Officer

Alan Fusak, of Prentice, WI appeared in Washburn County Circuit Court on February 13, 2017 on charges of Felony Threat to an officer.

According to public records obtained and reviewed by DrydenWire.com Fusak was arrested by the Washburn County Sheriff's Office on December 10, 2016 after deputies were dispatched to pick up multiple suspects on active warrants due to an investigation into an armed robbery in Ashland County, WI.

Washburn County Sheriff's deputies were en route to the address in Minong Township given them by Washburn County Sheriff's Dispatch when a vehicle was observed at a traffic intersection which deputies identified on sight as belonging to an individual from the address listed in the warrant pick-up call.

Deputies made contact with the vehicle and placed three individuals in temporary custody while the deputies investigated further.

Fusak was located at the address in question and deputies placed him in custody. Fusak was verbally threatening to at least one Washburn County Sheriff's Deputy. Fusak told the Deputy he would find out where the Deputy lived and that he would physically harm the Deputy's family. Fusak yelled obscenities at the Deputy while being transported to the Washburn County Jail. Upon arrival at the Washburn County Jail, Fusak was argumentative and combative, refusing to get out of the squad car on his own, and ultimately passing out on the floor of the jail cell he was moved to.

Charges of Battery or Threat to Judge, Prosecutor, or Law Enforcement Officer, a Class H Felony and Resisting or Obstructing an Officer, a Class A Misdemeanor, were filed against Fusak on January 20, 2017 in Washburn County Circuit Court.

Public record indicates that Fusak remains in the custody of law enforcement and is due to appear again in Washburn County Circuit Court on February 16, 2017.

Fusak has open cases in at least 3 other Wisconsin Counties, including Ashland County where he was charged on December 9, 2016 with Armed Robbery, aClass C Felony, and Burglary While Armed With a Dangerous Weapon, a Class E Felony. On January 7, 2017, Fusak was also charged with Felony Bail Jump. Fusak is due back in Ashland County Circuit Court on February 14, 2017.

In Sawyer County Circuit Court Fusak is charged with Vehicle Operator Flee or Elude Officer, a Class I Felony; Retail Theft, a Class I Felony; and Misdemeanor Resisting or Obstructing an Officer. Fusak is due back in Sawyer County Circuit Court on 3/14/17.

A warrant for Fusak's arrest was issued in Taylor County on January 17, 2017 for charges of Misdemeanor Disorderly Conduct.
